How about this? 1. You can not have a player in your line up that is in the minors? 2. You can not drop a prospect player. a. Has a minimum of NHL games? Say 10 games? b. Has a certain amount of AHL games. Say 80 games. Any thoughts?

My stance on #1. I believe a GM should be able to dress any player thats on his roster as he sees fit. My stance on #2. We already have a rule for this. We just need to agree to follow it or change it. I am for following it to the letter as written now.

To add to my stance on #2. I also think we should follow the letter of the rule starting today. Not going back on all drops and punishing anybody. Meaning Keith gets to drop Glennie no matter whether we keep the rule or change it.

My stance on #1. I believe a GM should be able to dress any player thats on his roster as he sees fit. My stance on #2. We already have a rule for this. We just need to agree to follow it or change it. I am for following it to the letter as written now. On #1 as the rule is written now you cannot use a player that is not on an NHL roster is not allowed on the draft starting line up... 2. All GMs will no longer be allowed to call up, or leave in the line-up, players that are not in the NHL.(eg. AHL, CHL, RSL or retired) A GM still may do transactions with injured players. 12Fwds, 6Dfs, and 2Gtdrs are mandatory. Any teams caught not adhearing to the above rules will be dealt with by the BOG. Possible punishments could include losing some or all of a franchises draft picks. On top of that the Franchises top player not in the line up will be inserted and his points backdated to the time the GM started dressing less than 20 skaters. (This is do force GMs to manage their teams properly) I happen to like this rule as it promotes activity in the leauge as it stands now a gm who wants to finnish last just has to dress a bunch of non players and forget about the pool for weeks at a time. i think it would be better is it was more difficult to finnish last and it actually took some sort of effort? as drafting the next Crosby or Ovechkin should be more about managing your team and less about in activity... Just My Thoughts and reguarding #2 well I would vote for a rule change on this rule slightly- if your intention is to call him up to your roster to play then the rule as defined now is good. my suggestion would be that if you wanted to Drop or Trade for a prospect and drop him a GM should be able to do so at any time and not be limmited or hindered to use all his assets how he deems fit.
