I would like to set up a meeting at Casslewood Pub on Saturday January 12. Please post here if you can or can't make it.
Please PM me if there is something you would like discussed.
Here is our itinerary so far.
1. Discuss the change needed in competition rules/punishment. (blowing seasons by benching good players/leaving injured players in the line up/not dressing enough players)
2. Changes to call up/drop system for next year.

do we really need to discuss this ..? i think kieth summed it up in his response to ken earlier quite well
kieth and i are in the same boat if you will...with similar stratagies
its all just a different take on things...we're not playing to win now , but to win later...so why should there be a rule to punish people with those stratagies

Ideas....
1)A team shall have to keep there top 5-8(forwards) and 2-3 (D) points/game getters in their roster
2)A GM shall have to assign 1 way and 2 way contracts to their player upon acquiring them and must have 5-8 (or so) Forwards and 2-3 (or so) D-Men assigned as a 1 way player and can only have them in their farm system if they get injured and can keep them there untill the GM feels so, (players can be changes from 1 way after a certain period of time maybe??)
3)I also think that the percent of man games per year should be increased from %80. Because you dont see an NHL team going into a game with not enough guys in there system (like some GM's have done this year)

I also think that any rule changes to the league should be voted on by everyone not just the BOG, like any of the rule changes brought up in my above posts.

I also think that any rule changes to the league should be voted on by everyone not just the BOG, like any of the rule changes brought up in my above posts. You signed on to a certain set of rules when you joined this league. In the rules it states what matters will be voted on by the BOG and what issues will be voted on by all owners. If you don't like how the BOG handles the issues you can vote them out at the draft next year.

I will not be able to make it on saturday, and I am opposed to any rules (especially complicated rules) that hinder a team from yielding the worst possible team except for the man games rule, I think it should be bumped to 90% because the quest for 1st overall should be won based on roster manipulation skill not who has the most injured players.

I also will not be coming on Saturday. I do believe that the rules can be tweaked, but up until now, rules have not been purposely broken. Having players in your line-up that are in the minors or being injured is not breaking the rules. However, I do believe that that an amendments can be done so that players in the minors come off the active roster. Again this would be a change, not b/c anyone is diong anything wrong, it just makes it better. If this change is made I would be more than happy to make changes, but to this date no rules have been broken.

I'm not sure I can make it till later however the issue about rules I would be ok with the 90% man games to start a season and if your player in your line gets sent to the minors they should be replaced and treated as an injury (in the case of conditioning) as for all the complaining about Iceing your best team With some of the trades made this year It may infact It may be harder to finnish last than first and there for require alot of roster moves and planning to get the 1st over all pick if that is your goal. remember all teams in the leauge go through rebuilding just look at the penguins and the oilers you can choose to rebuild and get (crosby, malkin, staal) or struggle every year and finnish in the middle of the pack as our oilers do!
