well this is one of those rules that has never been enforced kinda like the min games played rule... which was 759 last year meaning the bottem 3 would not have quallified under the "RULE" that we all think is dumb anyways..
George as you are aware almost everyone in this pool has been bringing up "prospects who do not meet this qualification or in-eligible players for some reason or another for years you have done it i have and most everyone who has tried to get to last place in the pool has done it.
I understand how you like to do things so here are a few examples there are more but i grow tired of this kind of post but since you accused me here is my defense of UFA transactions this year and players that have been used in roster even though they are technically in-eligible:
This season:
1. Posse - Dustin Tokarski less than 10 games and was not on NHL roster since 11/12
2. Mercs - Kevin Hayes 0 NHL Games
3. Firm (yes you george) - Justin Shugg for for Francois Beauchemin
4.
Firm (yes you again george) -Rocco Grimaldi for Zack Kassian
4.
Firm (yes you again george) - Beck for Sami Salo
none of these guys Meet the conditions you bring forward.
12/13 season:
1. Posse - Dylan McIlrath Zero games
2.Posse - Dustin Tokarski less than games none this season
3. Posse - Anders Nilsson 4 games non this year.
4. Possee- Dylan McIlrath none this year.
5. Franchise -Teemu Pulkkinen none this season
6. Franchise - Jeff Deslauriers none this season
7. snipers - Danny Kristo none this season
8. snipers Linus Omark suspended and not on roster 0 games
9. snipers Cristobal Huet not in NHL
snipers Alexander Salak not on roster and played 0 games
11/12 season Snipers -Thomas Hickey 0 games
Hawks - Nicolas Deschamps 0 games
franchise- Rob Schremp not in NHL
pools is not available of 10/11
season 07/08:Rich (rockets) - Francois Bouchard 0 games in fact he only had 10 forwards dressed
and actually George you yourself are guilty of breaking another rule that we seem not to enforce
"2.
All GMs will no longer be allowed to call up, or leave in the line-up, players that are not in the NHL.(eg. AHL, CHL, RSL or retired) A GM still may do transactions with injured players. 12Fwds, 6Dfs, and 2Gtdrs are mandatory. Any teams caught not adhering to the above rules will be dealt with by the BOG. Possible punishments could include losing some or all of a franchises draft picks. On top of that the Franchises top player not in the line up will be inserted and his points backdated to the time the GM started dressing less than 20 skaters. (This is do force GMs to manage their teams properly)
you placed Tim Thomas into your roster to get as little games as possible even though he was clearly suspended by the team and "NOT PLAYING IN THE NHL" now the rule states that if you are caught you will be punished and loose draft picks and on top of that your best player will be inserted and you will get those points... so one must wonder if your drafted players should not be called into question as clearly you should have finished with more points than you did
So as you see it has happened many times before and we do have rules in the "rules area" that we have no longer used either by complacency or by virtue that the rule is not needed (Games played rule witch is @ 90% however also un-enforced).
Further digging you Dropped Prospect Greg Nemisz in 11/12 for free agent he did not meet the requirements either when you called him up to drop.
So George maybe you should find a hobby or something else to fill up your days other than look for some way to complain about something that every one else is seemingly ok with, considering it has been going on for ever... especially since you break the rules as well (Tim Thomas).
perhaps the issue is that we need someone to go and update the rules so they reflect what we are currently playing and ENJOYING...
